Deputy of American Jacksonville University Visited BITZH

On the afternoon of March22, Xu Wen-ying, vice president of American Jacksonville University (JU) and Ms. Grace Huang, person in charge of the international cooperation and communication business of Jacksonville city visited our university and discussed their international cooperation programs with our school of aviation. Zhen Yong, our vice president, gave a warm welcome to them.Associate Dean, Sun Chang-jiang, and the Party Secretary, Xiao Yan-guang of our school of aviation as well as Director He Xiao-yang of our international office attended the meeting.
President Zhen warmly greeted Mr. Gauthierand introduced to him our current international cooperation and exchange programs. He mentioned that we had few  international programs in aviation and thus wished to have cooperation with JU in this field which might provide more opportunities for our student to go abroad.
President Xu introduced that the strength of the aviation students at JU was that they would learn not only the aviation profession courses but business management courses as well, thus they would be trained with both the operation skills and the management skills. Graduates from JU could take jobs in relation to aviation technology and engage in administrative management of aviation industry also, which greatly broadened the employment channels of JU students.
Subsequently both parties further discussed our cooperation in the undergraduate 2+2 dual degree program and 3+1+1 accelerated degree program. President Zhen emphasized that the parties would jointly establish an academic committee and arrange persons specifically in charge of these programs in the next step, Meanwhile, the administration of the students would be strengthened and any updates of the students would be timely posted so as to ensure the sustainable development of the cooperation between the parties.
Introduction of Jacksonville University:
Jacksonville University (JU) is located in Jacksonville city, Florida, U.S. and is a private school established in 1934. JU was ranked 65 of US News southern region universities in 2015, and its qualification was recognized by China Ministry of Education. Currently JU provides more than 70 majors and courses, including business, engineering and marine science etc., and grants degrees in more professional fields such as aviation, animation and sports management. Among which the history of the aviation major is over 30 years, and the professional degrees of aviation management and flight operations were certified by AABI.
